Service plans for March 28

Currently, we are working on a plan to continue to support our little family through some form of virtual church service. For this week, we encourage you to spend time worshiping with your families at home, enjoying some time in nature or participating in the online service of one of our local or extended church families. By next Sabbath, March 28, we hope to have to have an online Sabbath School (possibly via ZOOM), and the church service via Facebook live ready for the following week. We will keep you informed as we move forward.

At this time, we ask that you pray for one another, and when possible reach out and connect via text, the phone or Facebook. Some will struggle with the isolation, keep them in your prayers. I believe this can be a great time of growing affections and love towards each other as we find different ways to support our each other through this.

The Bible tells us in Matthew 24 that before Jesus’ return there would be events that signal His return, but these would just be early birth pains. Much like those of a woman in labor, these are just the beginning of the things that must come to pass before His return. At this time, we who know Jesus, should not be filled with fear. We should be secure in our faith and the knowledge of what these things mean. Additionally, we should strengthen each other and those around us in the love of Jesus.

Remember what John wrote in chapter 1, “In Him (Jesus) was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness” (verses 4, 5). Be the light in the darkness—may that Light be ever-present in each of you at this time.
